Ready in a jiffy, this easy cranberry oregano dressing tastes like Christmas season and is bursting with tart cranberry, sweet maple, and savory oregano flavors.

This is not a sponsored post. I’m just excited to share this company and this recipe.

When I found out Imperfect Foods was coming to Kansas City, I knew I had to get in on it. Imperfect’s mission is to

eliminate food waste and build a better food system for everyone

Yeah, I could get behind that. Essentially, Imperfect Foods seeks out produce, pantry staples, and more that would otherwise make it to our landfills because they do not meet the rigorous standards put in place by grocery stores and they deliver those foods through a subscription service. Many of the “issues” with the not-up-to-standards foods are nothing more than cosmetic. Sometimes it’s simply a matter of an oversupply or even a change in the marketer’s packaging.

The food is all perfectly safe to eat. It just isn’t perfect.

We have received:

  • wonky sweet potatoes
  • Brussel sprouts the size of my head
  • Slightly off-colored quinoa
  • Surplus apples
  • Baby avocados
  • and more

Our weekly boxes have also given us a chance to try out foods that we haven’t had before or grab some items that are in season that we might not have considered otherwise.

We got to try persimmons for the first time (I’m not a fan, but Troian loves them!)

We also ended up with some surplus cranberries that we didn’t know what to with and that’s how this dressing came to be.

Drizzle this cranberry oregano dressing over your favorite fall salad, spread it on rolls fresh out of the oven, or use it for dipping your roasted veggies or tofu nuggets.
